Food - Recipe - Chocolate Chip Shortbread Bites

Hi guys two recipes within a week of each crazy right!! This is a quick shortbread recipe to cheer me up on such a dull day

Chocolate Chip Shortbread Bites 


  • 125g Butter
  • 55 g Caster Sugar
  • 180 g Plain Flour, Sieved 
  • 3 ml Vanilla Extract
  • 50g Plain Chocolate Chips


  • Mixing Bowl 
  • Sieve
  • Electric Whisk
  • Spatula
  • 1 Square Baking Tin - Greased
  • Cooling Rack
  • Knife


  1.  Heat the oven to 190°C/ 170°C Fan / 375°F / Gas Mark 5. 
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Gradually stir in the flour, Chocolate Chips and the Vanilla Extract to form a smooth paste. 
  3. Gently press the mixture into a square tin and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until pale-golden brown. Remove from the oven and leave the cool on a cooling rack. 
  4.  Once cooled cut into rectangles to serve
